ENJOY A WEALTH OF BENEFITS.
As a resident physician in the Reserve, your family member will have access to various financial incentives including STRAP, HPLR, and Battle Assembly/Annual Training Pay. Practicing physicians and prior military members will have access to HPLR, Special Pay, and Battle Assembly/Annual Training Pay. These incentives include compensation for time spent training and educational loan repayments. In addition to these benefits, we’ll provide your family member with low-cost group life insurance coverage (Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance), access to low-cost medical and dental insurance (TRICARE), and retirement benefits.

He can also enhance his Army life by utilizing available fitness and recreational facilities (sometimes including access to golf and boating), low-cost shopping at base grocery (commissaries) and department stores (Post Exchange/PX), and more.
